Hot Chocolate Mix
from Mary Gail Milner, Quitman, Tx
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
1 8-quart box powdered milk
1 16-oz NesQuik chocolate powder
1 11-oz jar powdered coffee creamer
(we use CoffeeMate or Cremora)
2 cups powdered sugar (or more to taste)

Mix dry ingredients together well

Store in airtight container

Fill cup or mug 1/3 full with chocolate mixture (or more to taste), and add hot water. Stir well.
Spiced Tea
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
2 cups Tang orange drink mix
1 cup instant sweetened, lemon tea
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves

Mix well
-
Store in airtight container

Use 1 or 2 rounded tsp per cup of hot water
Blueberry Lemonade
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
2 quarts frozen or fresh blueberries
1 cup blueberry juice
1 cup fresh lemon juice
3 cups sugar
water

In saucepan, cover blueberries with water 1/2 inch over berries and boil for 20 minutes

Strain and collect juice (you can use clean pantyhose or cheesecloth)

This makes more juice than you need – freeze the extra

Mix blueberry juice, lemon juice, sugar in gallon pitcher
-
Fill pitcher with cold water to make one gallon
Russian Tea
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
​1 quart water
1 cup sugar
1 stick cinnamon
3 regular size tea bags
1/2 fresh orange, sliced
1/2 fresh lemon, sliced
1 small 6-oz can frozen orange juice
1 small 6-oz can frozen lemonade
4 cans water
1 1/2 cups pineapple juice

Bring water, sugar, cinnamon to a boil

Remove from heat and add tea bags, orange and lemon. Steep 15-30 minutes.

Add frozen juices, water and pineapple juice
-
Stir well and pour into ice-filled glasses

We prefer cold, but can also be served warm

Wassail
INGREDIENTS
1 48-oz apple juice
Sugar – approximately 1/2 cup
2 quarts CranGrape juice
1 46-oz can pineapple juice
1 quart orange juice

2 sticks cinnamon
Cloves
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
HEAT AND SERVE
Wild Plum Tea
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
4 family-sized tea bags
2 cups sugar
2 cups citrus juice drink (like SunnyD)
1/2 cup lemon juice

In a one-gallon pitcher, steep tea bags in 1 quart of boiling water for 10 minutes

In a small saucepan, combine sugar with 2 cups water and boil until sugar is completely dissolved
-
Remove tea bags from pitcher and add sugar water, citrus beverage, and lemon juice
-
Fill pitcher with cold water to make one gallon tea
